The actor was a big art enthusiast and the museum now houses the diverse collection of various antique pieces collected and created by himself. Besides the collection of paintings and various antique artistic stuff the art gallery also has stills from Mandare’s movies. Located within the residential premises of the Mandare family, the Nisarg bungalow has now been given over to the Archaeological Department as an art gallery. It now comes under the authorization of the Maharashtra government and is a major tourist attraction providing an insight into Kolhapur traditions and Kolhapur history.
